Interior Work and Furniture Selection

Though we didn’t do the architecture work or build this home, MCD was hired to do the interior work on this waterfront home located in Sammamish, WA on Pine Lake, making all of their selections on finishes and furniture for the entire home. The furniture program includes selections for all pieces for the home from couches, chairs, tables, and then down to the small details of accessories, artwork, pillows, you name it we do it! Our designer selected woods, fabrics, and metals to coordinate with the already existing architecture and interior design finishes throughout the home to make it look like a cohesive whole. We have found many of our clients are now opting for furniture contracts following their interior design contract and we couldn’t be more excited!

Highlights include a custom live edge wood vanity counter in the Powder Room. Note how it bows out at the vessel sink creating the perfect spot for it to sit while keeping the live edge intact. The mirror here was done from the same slab of wood and frames out a recessed mirror.

The basement level is also a sight to see! It features a sports bar complete with 7, yes we said it, 7 TVs, custom beer growler pendant lights above the bar, which were inspired by the Bainbridge Island Brewing Company, a stainless copper sink by Rohl (http://rohlhome.com/) and coordinating brushed copper Karbon faucet by Kohler. Need this faucet for your own home… you can find it here: http://www.us.kohler.com/us/catalog/productDetails.jsp?productNumber=6227-C15

Another unique and fun touch is the living room lamp which was sourced from Arteriors and ties in the natural wood elements throughout the home, from the powder room vanity to the live edge kitchen table. This is lamp is truly a work of art… check it out here: http://www.arteriorshome.com/shop/lighting/lampfloor/product/76645-110?trump-floor-lamp

No one says a sink has to be an oval or rectangle, a fun shape can add a unique look to your space.

What is it about Concrete?

Concrete has been around since the Roman Empire, and we still use it today in the homes we build. It is one of the most durable building materials out there and we love it! In some of our more recent projects, we have used concrete in new ways to add visual interest and make a bold statement.

Concrete was used on both the exterior and interior of this custom home on Pine Lake. This wall leading from the entry to the living room became a focal point and a unique piece of art all on its own.

Concrete was used in a completely different way here as a focal point and a visual divider between the kitchen and living room.
